MY BACKGROUND
The focus of my work is on helping individuals and couples navigate stressors and develop healthier relationships with themselves and the people in their lives. I’ve worked with a diverse population of adults and young adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, phase of life problems, and relationship issues. To meet client needs and their self-determined goals, I incorporate a range of relational, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic techniques. As a strength-based therapist, I work with clients on discovering and tapping into their strengths to overcome the specific challenges they face. We will work together to increase insight, reframe negative thoughts, and strengthen relationships through improved self-expression and deeper emotional connection.
ABOUT ME
The client-therapist relationship is at the heart of my work, values, and clinical training. The trust clients place in me is a privilege and I honor this responsibility by being honest and genuine with every client I meet. I enjoy learning each person’s story and the experiences that shape them, and I am inspired every day by my clients’ commitment to better themselves.
I was born in Cairo, Egypt and have since lived in seven states across the U.S. I am happy to now call Maryland home. When not working, I spend my time unwinding with family and friends, traveling to warmer destinations, and watching a good thriller with my husband.
