About Me

I honor and celebrate each individual with whom I have the privilege to work with.  My presence is warm and compassionate. I value your uniqueness, honor your past experiences, and respect that you are the expert regarding yourself.  My approach is tailored to each individual, couple, and family, meeting you where you are and working collaboratively to understand your obstacles and develop strategies that will lead to a more joy-filled life.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, volunteering at our church and in our community, reading, gardening, and swimming.  I am married to a wonderful husband and we have been blessed with two beautiful daughters.

Background

Since entering the profession in 2010, I have had the opportunity to work in both Tennessee and Virginia.  My clinical experience includes working in a residential rehabilitation program for individuals struggling with eating disorders, substance use disorders, often along with other co-occurring disorders including depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. I have worked in the public school system with children, adolescents, and their families who were dealing with negative behaviors, life adjustments, and a variety of other internal and external stressors.  I have also worked in a nonprofit with both individuals and couples preparing for marriage, as well as those who were struggling with marital issues.  Most recently, I have been working in Fairfax County with adults living with severe mental illness.

Each courageous individual, couple, or family that walks through my door is greeted with hope and encouragement!  I hope to have the opportunity to come alongside you and help you live the life you are striving for.
