My background:

Not all those who wander are lost. –J.R.R. Tolkien

I have always known that helping other people succeed is important to me. I first graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and then in Early Childhood Education, providing me with opportunities to work with diverse populations in various settings. Until 2020, I spent ten years teaching preschool, where I loved watching children’s satisfaction and joy as they learned to express their feelings while learning and developing. My paths in the fields of dietetics and early-childhood education have allowed me to discover my passion for helping others through therapy as we work together, exploring and understanding their thoughts and emotions as they find the peace and happiness they seek.

I believe a solid therapeutic relationship based on trust and authenticity is essential to your ability to feel understood and move toward reaching your goals. Working in collaboration, we will incorporate aspects of systemic, strength-based, person-centered, and cognitive therapy techniques to create a personalized approach to best fit your needs. We will focus on building upon your strengths, resilience, personal growth, and self-esteem, as well as learning to Identify unhelpful patterns of thinking and developing tools to reframe those thoughts and shift to healthier perspectives.

About me:
I appreciate each person’s uniqueness and story and feel privileged to be a part of it. My goal is to honor that by normalizing your therapeutic experience while providing a safe environment, listening with unconditional positive regard, and supporting your journey, whether self-discovery, recovery, or developing skills to achieve your objectives. When not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, tinkering on DIY projects, exercising, volunteering at our church, and snuggling my pups.
