My background:
I believe in the power of therapy to tap into our existing strengths, foster growth and connection, shift patterns, and move us toward living a more fulfilling life. I work with children (8+), adolescents, couples/partners, and individual adults. I value working with people across the spectra of gender, race, sexuality, and ability. I strive to provide a culturally-informed, non-judgmental, genuine, warm, and empathic space for all clients.
My approach is client-centered and collaborative, drawing from psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Theory (CBT), mind-body practices, trauma-informed approaches, play therapy, and expressive arts. I am currently training in Gottman Couples Therapy.
About me:
Prior to joining Lindsey Hoskins & Associates, I worked as a clinician in elementary, middle, and high schools and in an outpatient mental health setting. Before training as a therapist, I worked as a case manager with individuals experiencing homelessness, Spanish-speaking immigrants, and people involved in the criminal legal system.
I was born and raised in DC, and have lived in several cities before returning. When I’m not working, I love biking around the city, making art, sharing food with loved ones, and spending time with my partner.
